PROTESTS

What is Protesting?

Protesting is a expression of objection towards an idea or course of action. Protesting is illegal according to the First Amendment which guarantees freedoms concerning religion, expression, assembly, and the right to petition. It is been one of the bests ways for people to publicly make their opinions and views heard.

Why Should You Protest?

Protesting has made a huge difference on many different political conversations. Recently, all 4 police who contributed or witnessed to George Floyd's death have been officially charged. Derek Chauvin was Floyd's killer, the man who choked George by pressing his knee against his neck for several minutes. The three other officers who were at the scene have been charged by aiding and abetting second-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter. Although all the officers were charged for George's case, there are several other cases of police brutality towards Black people without facing any sort of charge. Protesting worked for George, there still are so many other innocent people we need to fight justice for.

How You Can Protect Yourself and Others Around You at a Protest
